The Center for Ethnomusicology is pleased to present "A Conversation With Jonathan Sterne" on Thursday, March 22, 2007, in the Center for Ethnomusicology (701C Dodge Hall), from 12-2 PM.
Jonathan Sterne is Associate Professor in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University (Canada), and the author of The Audible Past: Cultural Origins of Sound Reproduction. (Duke 2003), among many other important writings. Prof. Sterne will be speaking at the "Technologies of the Diva" conference on Saturday, March 24, in a public lecture.
