Congratulations to our latest PhDs, MAs, and BAs!

Congratulations to David Novak, Amanda Minks, and Daniel Thompson, all of whom defended PhD dissertations this year. Amanda Minks will be teaching anthropology in the Honors College of the University of Oklahoma next year; David Novak will be teaching ethnomusicology at Sarah Lawrence College.

Congratulations also to our latest MA recipients: Tyler Bickford, Erica Mather, and Maria Sonevetsky; and to our latest graduates with special major or special concentration BA degrees in ethnomusicology, Philip Cartelli (Columbia College) and Elizabeth Drumheller (Barnard College). We congratulate Philip Cartelli, who also won the Henry Evans Fellowship from Columbia College for fieldwork in West Africa this summer.

We are also pleased to welcome Anita Hoyvik and Sara Snyder as new members of our PhD program for 2006-7.
