Maria Sonevytsky wins IASPM Graduate Student Paper prize!

The 2006 International Association for the Study of Popular Musics (US) Graduate Student Paper Prize has been awarded to Columbia PhD student Maria Sonevytsky for her paper "Leather, Metal, Wild Dances: Ukrainian Pop's Victory at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest and the Politics of Auto-Exoticism."
